Take a little bit of time out of your day to be a kid again
Build blanket forts, skip from room to room, paint yourself with dandelions, he loves me, he loves me not, catch lightning bugs, play hide-n-seek, freeze tag, climb a tree, make Jacob’s Ladder or Cat’s Cradle, draw on the sidewalk with chalk, double-dutch, play clapping & jump rope games, make water balloons your ultimate weapon, cross your fingers behind your back, pinky swear, blow bubbles in your milk, make a card house, double-dog dare someone, finger paint, make a silly face at a stranger, try a cartwheel, race someone, make a cootie catcher, camp out in your backyard, walk barefoot in the grass, go to the drive-ins, hula-hoop, set up a lemonade stand, play twister, hopscotch, buy penny candy, play pinball, ride go-carts, ring around the rosie, make a club house, catch crayfish, sing into your hairbrush, dunk your cookies, blow the wrapper off a straw, giggle a lot for no reason at all.
(via kind over matter)
Play in the rain: I saw this post and I immediatly thought of my twins. Rare for our corner of the world this was not a lightning storm. We let our 2 yr old twins burn off pre-nap energy….you guess if they had fun!
